Manage offers and holds
Review collector offers, reserve inventory, and close accepted deals correctly.
The offers queue contains collector price offers and walk-up holds. Neither one is a completed sale until a user with Record sales records the transaction.
Availability and permissions: The dealer needs Offers, dealer-level offer intake must be enabled, and the user needs Manage holds to accept, counter, decline, place, or release holds. Closing a hold as a sale additionally requires Record sales.
Receive a collector offer
A collector can submit an offer from an Active public show only when the collector is signed in and both the dealer-level and card-level offer settings allow it.
New offers enter the queue as Pending. Depending on the decision, they become:
- Accepted / Held: the item is reserved immediately.
- Declined: the offer is closed without a reservation.
- Countered: a counter amount is sent and remains valid for 48 hours.
A counter amount must be greater than zero. The optional message can contain up to 500 characters. The item remains available until the collector accepts the counter; accepting it creates the hold at the accepted counter amount.
Decide on an offer
- Open the pending offer and verify the exact item.
- Compare the offer with the effective price and your internal minimum.
- Accept, decline, or send a counter.
- Confirm the resulting status in the queue.
When cost data is complete, CaseLink can display decision guidance based on recorded cost and price settings. Treat that value as guidance, not an automatic approval. If cost data is missing, review the item manually.
Declined or countered offers can remain available for follow-up. CaseLink does not promise an automatic reminder, so use the queue state as the record.
Configure offer intake
The dealer owner controls account-level offer intake, floor percentage, and below-floor behavior in settings. A user with Manage inventory can set a card to inherit the dealer setting, explicitly allow offers, or explicitly disable them.
Automatic below-floor handling does not replace a card-specific minimum-price review.
Place a walk-up hold
From Show Day, reserve an item for 15, 30, 60, or 120 minutes, or without a timer. While the hold is active, the item is removed from public availability. The same queue contains these holds and collector offers, so verify the type before acting.
Close or release a hold
- Select Close Sale to prefill the card, show, and accepted amount. The sale is complete only after it is recorded by someone with Record sales.
- Select Release hold when the customer does not complete the purchase. The item can become available again if no other restriction blocks it.
Do not record a separate sale first and leave its hold unresolved.
